After going through the districting process and months of deliberation, the La Verne City Council adopted a map of the city with five districts which established a new by-district electoral system with a rotating mayor in the City of La Verne.
The La Verne City Council held the third districting public hearing this week to review and discuss resident-generated district maps.
The City of La Verne’s districting mapping tools are live online. Residents are encouraged to draw their communities and where they think the council district lines should be so that they satisfy the legal requirements of equal population while representing La Verne’s unique communities and their interests.
The City of La Verne is launching its first City Council districting process, with the first of four public hearings scheduled to take place virtually on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
